When you donate to OIWA, you’re allowing us to help women-owned organizations (like the ones below) in the outdoor industry navigate the grant space. We dedicate ourselves to sourcing grant opportunities for these businesses, applying and accepting grant funds on their behalf, and providing significantly reduced administrative fees for grant fund management.

Backcountry Baddies was founded by Laila Hakkarinen, a passionate skier and nonprofit community engagement coordinator, and Addy Jacobsend, a professional skier and producer of the film Advice for Girls. Together, they are driven by a shared commitment to build a strong, supportive community for women & nonbinary people in backcountry skiing and snowboarding.

Founded by Isabella Connelly, Pathmaker Projects is an utdoor gear repair and modification service based on Mount Desert Island, Maine, home to Acadia National Park. Their mission is to improve sustainability and accessibility in the outdoor recreation industry through repairs, adaptive modifications, and education.
